Insurance Premium Tax
The St. John the
Baptist Parish Sheriff, as ex officio
St. John the Baptist Parish a tax on the sale of insurance premiums as provided for in LA RS 22:833 Authorization of local taxes; penalties for nonpayment.
Insurance premium tax is delinquent if not paid before the first day of June each year. Delinquent accounts are addtionally assessed a penalty in the amount of 5% for each month,up to a maximum of 25% of the tax due.
