These are the steps required to secure an occupational license in St John the Baptist Parish

a) Complete and submit a Parish Compliance Form

b) Complete, and submit, a wastewater application
           Wastewater Application--Utilities Department


Step 2--If serving food and/or beverages, obtain a permit from:
            Louisiana Department of Health & Hospitals (DHH)

Step 3--If serving alcoholic beverages, obtain a permit from:
             Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control (ATC)

Step 4--          Sales/Occupational License Tax Office

a) Complete, and submit, a sales tax/occupational license application:
           St John the Baptist Parish Tax Office Application

b) Restaurant/Food Truck/Caterers complete and submit Schedule R
           St John the Baptist Parish Schedule "R"

c)  Businesses serving alcohol complete and submit:
           St John the Baptist Parish Retail Alcohol Permit and
           St John the Baptist Parish Schedule A

d)  Businesses requiring a Live Event Permit complete and submit
           St John the Baptist Parish Schedule E Live Event Permit

e)  Businesses required to pay a chain store tax complete and submit
           Chain Store Tax Return

f) Initial license is $50, or $25 if applied for July 1 or later;
   if purchasing an existing business, or moving, the license fee shall be
   the same fee as the previous location/year, divided by twelve, then
   multipled by the number of months, or fractions thereof, left in the
   current year.
