The St. John the Baptist Parish Sales Tax Office, in cooperation with the St. Charles Parish Sales Tax Office and other members of the Louisiana Multiparish Tax Commission, holds sales and use tax workshops periodically.  Topics typically include:

• a general discussion on the collection of sales taxes
• reporting use taxes
• preparing tax returns
• timely filing of returns
• delinquencies and audits

The next workshop is projected for late October, 2010, at a location to be determined.

There is no charge to attend the workshop, but attendance may be limited by space availability.
