    This page is designed to provide you with all the information and/or forms you may need to register a business and file your taxes with St. John the Baptist Parish.     Businesses with no physical locations that have personal property in the Parish:  
      Step 1 - Obtain a Sales/Use tax identification number, same directions as above.  
      Step 2 - All Businesses having personal property (i.e., rented, leased equipment, etc.) in the parish must obtain an Assessment Number from the St John Parish Assessor's offices at 1801 W. Airline Hwy, LaPlace, LA 70068; 985-652-5311 or 2393 Hwy 18, Edgard, LA, 985-794-3952

We have provided several ways for you to file your sales and use tax returns. Of course, there is always the old tried and true method of mailing you a paper form to complete and mail back to us. However we have developed more modern ways for you to file:
